Definitely not the first time such a misbar has occurred. Look at AquaCraft's Marine Environment Salt Packaging - http://aquacraft.net/products-... - I believe these were in the 70's? I think Mike had a particular name for this (might be trademarked though).

Tanked is full of staged issues just to get the attention of the viewer. Cool tanks yes, but I think each show needs to do an after presentation of their tanks to see how they are doing down the road...

Tanked builds some cool aquariums, but their haphazard stocking and failure to create proper habitats for that stock irks me terribly. Watching Fish Tank Kings, there's more infighting, but there Iis much more care taken to make sure the fish have a proper environment and suitable tankmates.

I liked season one of Tanked but Fish Tank Kings has shown they have gotten even better as they go while tanked has come across to scripted in how they talk to one another. I think in anything you do, you will have competition. I do know that Living Color Aquarium has been around forever, so just because one had a show first doesn't always mean they were the origonator of an idea or company... Good luck to all tank builders! Just Keep swimming! Season 2 Fish Tank Kings starts June 1st! As a mermaid... I can not wait! PS I agree a cgi mermaid is lame, get the real life mermaid!
